12 Buddhist statues (national important cultural properties) including Yakushi Nyorai (Buddha of Healing and Medicine) from the early 9th century are housed.

Notice of temporary closing

The Chiyoda History and Folklore Museum is closed to the public until further notice. We thank you for your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience.

9:00 am to 4:30 pm (The last admission is 4:00 pm.)

Closed

Mondays (Tuesdays when Monday falls on a national holiday), Dec. 28 ~ Jan. 4

Admission fee

  • Adults: 300 yen (200 yen for groups)
  • High school students: 100 yen (50 yen for groups)

Junior high school students and under: Free
* Fees shown in parentheses for groups comprising 10 people or more

Visitors under the following categories not subject to admission fees with identification cards or advance application.

With ID

  • Foreign students studying at universities and graduate schools in Hiroshima prefecture
  • Visitors with a disability card and caregivers

Advance application  * Contact the education board for an advance application form.

  • Teachers of elementary school and junior high school students on school field trips
  • High school students visiting the treasure house and museum on school field trips
  • Researchers of cultural properties
  • Education board head approved exemptions
